Save the Date!
Save the date for April 18, 2026, for the Iowa Archeological Society annual spring meeting! This year’s events will take place in Fort Dodge at the Matt Cosgrove River’s Edge Discovery Center. Stay tuned for details!
Call for Papers
Please consider presenting your research or activities to the membership at the meeting! Topics can relate to archaeology, history, anthropology, and similar disciplines of interest to IAS members. If interested, please e-mail the IAS president with your name and contact information, as well as the topic/tentative title.
Board Vacancies
There will be a number of vacancies opening on the IAS Board this spring, including all of the Executive Officers and several of the Directors’ posts – see the elected terms on the IAS Board page. The IAS encourages everyone to consider this opportunity to become more engaged in the governing and administration of our organization, and ask anyone who is interested to e-mail the IAS president at your earliest convenience prior to the meeting. Note, some, but not all currently elected Board members will run for re-election. The final determinations are made at the Spring Business Meeting by the membership.
