The Central Chapter of the IAS circulates its own newsletter, hosts regular meetings with guest lectures in the greater Des Moines area, and gathers at an annual summer potluck.

Northwest Chapter
The Northwest Chapter of the IAS is headquartered at the Sanford Museum in Cherokee. The chapter meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 6pm. These meetings feature special activities, field trips, and presentations. All meetings are open to the public!

Quad Cities Archaeological Society
The Quad Cities Archaeological Society (QCAS) is a chapter of the Illinois Association for Advancement of Archaeology and features guest presentations by many Iowa archaeologists. The QCAS meets on the last Tuesday of each month (except December, June, July, and August) at the Singing Bird Nature Center at Blackhawk State Park in Rock Island.

Illiniwek/Keokuk Chapter
The Illiniwek/Keokuk Chapter of the IAS meets monthly on the third Wednesday of the month, with the exception of October and December. Meetings are held at the Keokuk Public Library (210 N. 5th St.) at 10:00 am.
This Chapter was chartered in the State of Missouri under the Missouri Archaeological Society (MAS). Members are from the tri-state area, and the Chapter is also tentatively affiliated with the Illinois Association for the Advancement of Archaeology (IAAA).
